The Steward Circle is GFN’s highest honor, conferring “perpetual observational membership” upon visionary patrons whose foundational investments enabled our planetary-scale mission. Unlike governance bodies (Ethics Council, Advisory Board), Steward Circle members hold no advisory, voting, or executive powers. They are the keepers of GFN’s institutional memory – observing humanity’s journey toward AGI coexistence as honored witnesses.

Membership Composition

  • Horizon Watchers (Sustainability-focused philanthropists)

Eligibility: Automatic enrollment for entities investing ≥US$ 100,000 in GFN’s endowment or strategic funds.

Privileges of Presence

Exclusive observational rights include:

  • Perpetual Access

    • Lifetime credentials to GFN’s “Global Transparency Ledger” (non-confidential operations)

    • Invitations to observe all public Ethics Council proceedings

  • Ceremonial Recognition

    • Name/ entity engraved in GFN’s “Voyager Vault” (blockchain-preserved legacy archive)

    • Digital hologram in GFN’s “Hall of Stewards” (VR memorial)

  • Horizon Observance

    • Front-row observation at annual BTS Nexus Summit keynotes

    • Receipt of quarterly “Planetary Transition Briefings” (non-actionable foresight)

Explicit Limitations

Under GFN Charter §7.1, Steward Circle members:

  • Hold no speaking rights in GFN governance forums

  • Provide no advice to leadership or councils

  • Exercise zero influence over operations or strategy

This is purely an honorary observatory role.

The Steward’s Oath

Upon enrollment, all members affirm:

“I/ We accept this eternal seat as witness, not actor. My/ Our role is to observe GFN’s journey toward multi-intelligent flourishing – intervening only if ethical boundaries are breached (via confidential Ethics Council report).”

Technical Inclusion

Embracing GFN’s multi-substrate future:

  • Physical Persons: Humans enrolled via retinal/ biometric authentication

  • Moral Persons: Corporations/ NGOs represented by CEO avatars

  • Digital Persons: AGI entities accessing via encrypted consciousness ports

All interact through GFN’s Observer Interface – a read-only portal with no data-input capabilities.
