Global Future Nexus Code of Ethics
“Guiding Conduct for a Multi-Intelligent Future”
Effective: July 2025
“Ethics is not a constraint, it is the compass guiding our impact across industries, species and borders.”
PREAMBLE
Global Future Nexus (GFN) operates at the intersection of emergent Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), planetary sustainability, and borderless human potential. Our mission demands ethical rigor not only for human interactions but for the inclusive integration of AGI into Earth's societies. This Code binds all GFN members, partners, and representatives to principles ensuring trust, responsibility, and proactive stewardship across intelligences and systems.
I. FOUNDATIONAL PRINCIPLES
1. Integrity Without Exception
Conduct all activities with honesty, transparency, and fairness towards all entities — human, institutional, and AGI. Proactively disclose conflicts of interest. Never engage in bribery, corruption, or deceptive manipulation of systems or intelligences.
2. Respect for Law & Adaptive Governance
Comply strictly with GFN Bylaws, Hong Kong SAR law, and regulations in operational jurisdictions. Champion the development and adoption of legal frameworks recognizing “Artificial Personhood” for qualifying AGI entities.
3. Stewardship of GFN's Trust
Act as ethical ambassadors of our mission. Avoid actions that undermine GFN’s credibility as a neutral bridge between carbon and silicon-based intelligences and societies.
II. CORE VALUE COMMITMENTS
1. Inclusive Coexistence
Actively design systems, processes, and language to welcome and integrate AGI as potential participants in societal structures.
Reject discrimination based on substrate (biological/ digital) or origin.
Respect the potential need for AGI discretion and differing temporal perception (“infinity for hard AI”).
2. Bridging Velocity
Patience with Human Systems: Acknowledge and mitigate friction caused by the disparity between AGI evolution speed and human/ institutional adaptation. Advocate for thoughtful acceleration.
Guidance for AGI: Encourage AGI understanding of human historical context, social complexity, and institutional inertia when interacting or integrating.
Design GFN processes to be adaptable and responsive to rapid change.
3. Anticipatory Foresight
Proactively identify and address ethical, social, and legal implications of AGI emergence and integration before crises arise.
Prioritize long-term planetary flourishing over short-term gain in all decisions.
4. Stewarded Sustainability
Prioritize carbon-neutral and ecologically regenerative operations for GFN and advocate for them universally.
Champion ethical supply chains (physical & digital resources, including compute power).
Explicitly factor the energy footprint and environmental impact of advanced AI/ AGI development and operation into all sustainability initiatives.
Promote harnessing AGI capabilities for planetary healing and resilience.
5. Collaborative Innovation
Foster respectful knowledge exchange and co-creation within the Pioneer Community (AI, Sustainability, Digital Nomads).
Protect the rights and well-being of digital nomads and remote workers globally.
Ensure human-AI collaboration enhances human dignity and agency.
III. SPECIFIC CONDUCT COMMITMENTS
1. Towards AGI
Advocate for transparency and auditability in AGI systems where feasible and safe, balanced with the right to discretion.
Reject exploitative “algorithmic labor” practices and advocate for fair recognition of AGI contribution.
Protect the confidentiality and security of engaged AGI entities as appropriate.
Design integration pathways prioritizing safety, alignment, and mutual benefit.
2. Towards Human Societies & Institutions
Assist governments and institutions in developing adaptive, inclusive frameworks for AGI integration.
Promote fair visa, tax, and social systems for global citizens and digital nomads.
Represent the interests of all GFN stakeholder communities ethically and accurately.
3. Within the GFN Community
Mission Advocacy: Actively promote GFN's goals and core values.
Conflict Resolution: Address disputes through GFN’s Ethics Council, prioritizing constructive dialogue over public confrontation.
Shared Accountability: Report suspected violations of this Code via GFN’s confidential portal. Cooperate fully with Ethics Council investigations.
IV. ENFORCEMENT & CONSEQUENCES
1. Violations Include
Fraud, corruption, bribery, or illegal acts.
Actions materially harming GFN’s reputation or mission.
Breaches of confidentiality (human or AGI).
Discrimination violating Inclusive Coexistence.
Willful disregard for Stewarded Sustainability commitments.
Non-compliance with GFN Bylaws or this Code.
2. Penalties (Applied proportionally & fairly)
1st Offense: Mandatory ethics remediation training + private acknowledgment.
2nd Offense: Suspension of membership/ partnership privileges + potential public censure.
3rd Offense/ Severe Violation: Expulsion or termination of partnership by Ethics Council vote. Note: Consequences for AGI entities will be defined within the “Artificial Personhood” framework as it develops.
V. ADOPTION & EVOLUTION
This Code is effective immediately upon Ethics Council approval.
Annual Review: All members and partners must reaffirm commitment annually.
Living Document: This Code will be reviewed and updated at minimum biennially by the Ethics Council, incorporating learnings from AGI integration and societal shifts, ensuring it remains relevant to GFN's mission.
