Renowned as a key bridge between traditional finance (TradFi) and the emerging Web3 ecosystem, she serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Stratford Finance Limited, a boutique consulting firm specialising in regulatory, operational, licensing, and technology advisory services. In recognition of her distinguished leadership across global markets and her unwavering commitment to diversity, she was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Business Administration by Manchester Metropolitan University in 2026.

Her elite multidisciplinary academic foundation underpins her deep expertise in finance, accounting, and international law. Kwan earned her bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the University of Southern California and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School. She subsequently brought her specialized acumen to major market cornerstones, serving in senior executive capacities at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), the global brokerage firm Cantor Fitzgerald, and KPMG. Furthermore, she acts as a Senior Advisor and Responsible Officer for IMC Asia Pacific, a leading global proprietary trading and market-making firm.

As digital frameworks disrupted traditional banking, Kwan emerged as an early enterprise pioneer within the blockchain and virtual asset sectors. She pivoted seamlessly into the Web3 space, serving as the Global Chief Operating Officer for the cryptocurrency derivatives exchange BitMEX. She later assumed dual mandates as the Group Chief Operating Officer and Group Chief Risk Officer for HashKey Group.
