Bartłomiej (Bart) Szyniec is a distinguished international restaurateur, hospitality consultant, and entrepreneur who has built an influential career bridging the culinary landscapes of Hong Kong and Central Europe. Born in 1980 in Wrocław during a turbulent period in post-communist Poland, his early determination and resilient work ethic were heavily shaped by the challenges of that era. Although he initially pursued legal studies for three years, his deep-rooted passion for service and international business operations led him to pivot permanently into global hospitality management.

To build a world-class foundation in his chosen field, Szyniec moved to Ireland and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management from the respected Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT). After gaining essential operational experience across Europe, he relocated to Hong Kong in 2012 to test his skills in one of the world's most fiercely competitive food scenes. He rapidly scaled the ranks of regional corporate dining, notably serving as the Operations Manager for the prestigious Aqua Restaurant Group and Managing Director at El Mercado, where he mastered high-stakes casual premium dining mechanics.

In February 2018, Szyniec transitioned into independent entrepreneurship by launching Pickle Solutions Limited, a dedicated hospitality consulting firm. This venture laid the groundwork for his flagship enterprise, Deadly Rabbits Concepts (DRC), which he founded in June 2019. Under his leadership as CEO, the group created a multi-venue portfolio of popular, cosmopolitan restaurants. His most notable concept, Ask for Alonzo—a modern Italian neighborhood trattoria—successfully scaled to multiple packed locations across Hong Kong by prioritizing excellent value and approachable, high-quality dining even during unprecedented global market upheavals.

Having achieved major business milestones in East Asia, Szyniec set his sights on a major cross-border expansion back to his homeland. In 2025 and 2026, he introduced his prominent Hong Kong-born concepts to Warsaw, Poland. This expansion included bringing Ask for Alonzo to the landmarks of the Varso Tower and launching The Slavic Social adjacent to the Hilton Warsaw City. Conceived as a modern salon, The Slavic Social functions as an innovative business club, modern dining venue, and Asian-influenced cocktail bar designed specifically to bridge Slavic and Asian commerce.

Today, Szyniec leverages his unique cross-border perspective to support other professionals navigating international trade. He channeled these experiences into founding the Hong Kong Poland Business Association (HKPLBA), creating a collaborative ecosystem for entrepreneurs exploring opportunities between the two regions. Outside of orchestrating expansion plans for Deadly Rabbits Concepts, he maintains a highly active lifestyle through solo adventure travel, running, and swimming.
