Raymond Yip Chak-yan (葉澤恩) is a highly distinguished trade diplomat, economic strategist, and regional cooperation advisor prominent within the Asia-Pacific commerce ecosystem. He currently serves as the Vice President of the Association of Experts for Modernization (AEM), a prestigious 45-year-old organization dedicated to fostering cross-border economic ties and technical development between mainland China and international markets. Known for his extensive global network and expertise in cross-border trade, Yip acts as a vital bridge driving institutional synergy and trade optimization throughout regional economic corridors.

Yip established his foundational business acumen in Hong Kong, graduating with an honors degree in Business Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). This specialized training equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of corporate marketing, global finance flows, and trade economics. His academic credentials set the stage for an expansive career centered around global market promotions, institutional branding, and macro-economic development.

The core of Yip’s professional legacy was built over a multi-decade tenure at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), a statutory body responsible for spearheading Hong Kong’s international trade relationships. Rising through highly competitive internal channels, he served in crucial executive positions, eventually retiring as the Council's Deputy Executive Director. During his distinguished time with the HKTDC, Yip deep-froze his global trade credentials by directing regional infrastructure expansions directly from the agency's key international stations, including New York, Tokyo, and London.

Following his retirement from full-time public trade promotion, Yip transitioned his immense organizational knowledge into regional governance, regional think tanks, and advisory councils. He acts as the Deputy Director of the Guangzhou Nansha Consultative Committee on Guangdong-Hong Kong Co-operation and a Member of the Hainan-Hong Kong Cooperation and Development Consultative Committee. In these capacities, he is central to managing policy alignment, regional trade logistics, and cross-border commercial frameworks within the rapidly evolving Greater Bay Area (GBA).

Today, in his executive role with the Association of Experts for Modernization, Yip remains a vital figure in shaping bilateral economic alliances. He spearheads strategic cooperative initiatives, orchestrating trade panels and regional infrastructure integrations alongside public bodies from regions like Xinjiang, Qingdao, and Ningxia. Alongside his organizational duties, Yip is a passionate global cultural enthusiast who has fulfilled his long-term goal of collecting stamps and paper notes from every country and defunct territory in the world, reflecting a highly analytical and globally conscious approach to international relations.
