Loh established his quantitative foundation at the Australian National University, where he graduated with a double Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Studies (with Honours) and Economics. In 2010, he broadened his geopolitical and regional economic perspective by attending the Asia Institute of Political Economy (AIPE), an elite program jointly hosted by Georgetown University and The University of Hong Kong. Additionally, his early career experiences included a formative internship with Bank Negara Malaysia, the country's central bank, cementing his roots in sovereign financial governance.
In 2011, Loh joined Swiss Re, one of the world’s leading wholesale providers of reinsurance and insurance products. Over a multi-decade tenure with the group, he has been strategically deployed across major financial hubs, including both Singapore and Hong Kong. During this expansive institutional chapter, he held successive senior roles in underwriting, corporate structuring, and portfolio risk management, building deep structural knowledge of corporate alternative risk transfers and captive insurance structures.
As the financial landscape pivoted toward digital disruption, Loh transitioned into pioneering innovation positions, serving as the Digital Propositions Lead within Swiss Re’s Innovation and Transformation Office. In his subsequent rise to Vice President of Risk Data Solutions, he has specialized in engineering forward-looking, data-driven frameworks. By collaborating directly with major tech partners and cross-industry digital platforms, he helps global enterprises navigate volatile, interconnected macroeconomic and climate landscapes.
