  • Short Bio / Excerpt:

Felix Lam is a highly accomplished procurement executive, environmental advocate, and leader in supply chain governance within Hong Kong and mainland China. Boasting a professional career that spans over three decades, he successfully bridges the gap between massive corporate supply operations and advanced sustainable practices. Today, he uses his deep cross-sector insights to champion the modernization, resilience, and ethical sourcing standards of regional and global networks.

The corporate foundation of Lam’s expertise was built during a stellar 27-year tenure at the Hong Kong and China Gas Company (Towngas), where he ultimately rose to become the Head of the Corporate Supplies Department. In this highly demanding executive role, Lam oversaw a massive internal infrastructure of central procurement, warehousing, and complex logistics networks. Managing a large team in Hong Kong, he spearheaded supply chain governance and oversight for more than 130 operational joint ventures across mainland China, establishing a gold standard for institutional logistics management.

Driven by a passion to embed environmental awareness into heavy industry, Lam pivoted to institutional advocacy by serving for seven years as the Head of Sustainability at the Green Council. During this notable chapter, he championed the vital integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into day-to-day sourcing workflows. He launched specialized corporate training modules, curated membership networks, and designed sustainability award schemes to formally incentivize corporations to decouple economic productivity from severe environmental impacts.

Leveraging his technical mastery of ethical procurement, Lam currently serves as a Director for the Institute for Supply Management Hong Kong (ISM-HK), while concurrently holding a Directorship and the role of Chairman of the Communication Committee at The Institute of Purchasing & Supply of Hong Kong (IPSHK). Through these premier professional bodies, he leads strategic initiatives to raise industry compliance standards, foster international dialogue among logistics professionals, and help enterprises successfully navigate immediate macro supply disruptions.

In tandem with his executive board positions, Lam remains a passionate educator and thought leader committed to cultivating the next generation of logistics experts. He regularly serves as an expert speaker at premier sustainable trade conventions like the ReThink HK Sustainability Summit and delivers targeted guest lectures at leading academic institutions, including The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and The University of Hong Kong (HKU SPACE). Through his ongoing workshops, he equips small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with actionable frameworks to capture cost savings while meeting aggressive statutory net-zero carbon goals.
