Max Henry is an accomplished supply chain expert, community builder, and entrepreneur best known as the Founder and Executive Director of the Global Supply Chain Council (GSCC). With over three decades of immersive experience living and working across major Asian hubs like Singapore, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, Henry has built a reputation as a pioneering independent voice for supply chain, logistics, and procurement professionals in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region and globally.
An alumnus of the Institut Supérieur de Gestion (ISG) multinational business school, Henry initially began his career in the early 1990s within trade publishing and media. However, his professional trajectory quickly shifted toward the burgeoning fields of supply chain innovation and digital B2B solutions. Over a quarter-century, he engaged actively in developing strategic sourcing solutions for both multinational corporations and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs). His early entrepreneurial and corporate leadership tenures included running the strategic sourcing firm Sinosources, spearheading B2B platform development at Sparkice.com, and managing supply chain solution networks at ECnet, before concluding his traditional corporate track as the China Operations Director for the French logistics provider Trans-Access Solutions.
In 2002, Henry channeled his deep domain expertise and regional network into founding the Global Supply Chain Council (GSCC) and its digital counterpart, Chain.NET. Under his leadership, GSCC has grown into one of Asia’s largest and most influential professional organizations, serving a rapidly expanding community of over 260,000 supply chain executives. Alongside GSCC, he has established influential niche media arms, including CHaINA Magazine and The Chain, to empower practitioners through executive briefings, industry insights, and localized forums.
Today, Henry remains at the forefront of the industry's evolution, focusing heavily on the digital transformation of global supply networks. His core initiatives center on helping leaders navigate modern disruptions by integrating emerging technologies—such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT)—into operational excellence, procurement strategy, and supply chain resilience.
