Born into a family of a celebrated artist and a renowned professor of philosophy and politics, Denis inherited the family wanderlust early. His relatives roamed far and wide; his father served as a radio operator in the RAF (Royal air Force) in the United Kingdom during World War II. It was only natural that Denis would follow in their footsteps — and cross the globe in the process.
Denis arrived in Hong Kong from Indonesia in 1988, armed with training in print and design and a restless creative energy that has never left him. Based in Hong Kong ever since, he has built Channel One Media into a distinctive media voice with several profitable components.
Since founding the company, Denis has concentrated on its media and marketing development. Under his leadership, Channel One has launched a series of highly successful print and digital publications — each one a trailblazer in its segment. Titles you may know include Jetsetter, Asia's Finest Hotels, and JollyHoli, among several others. His latest initiative, Sustainable Leaders, celebrates and rewards the most deserving champions of sustainability.
