Social Media Groups & Pages

Members are encouraged to utilize their preferred social media platforms for committee communications. This approach facilitates interaction, collaboration, and community-building aligned with the committee’s thematic focus. While Global Future Nexus imposes no restrictions on platform selection, all communications must prioritize inclusivity and accessibility.

Critical Considerations

  1. Regional Accessibility

Platforms like WhatsApp are banned in China, Iran, North Korea, Qatar, Syria, and UAE. WeChat remains globally accessible except for India where it is banned.

  2. Confidentiality Protocol

Chatham House Rule: All discussions are confidential. Participants may share content but not attribute statements to individuals.

Recommended Best Practices

  • Verify all committee members can access chosen platforms.

  • Establish clear privacy settings for group communications.

  • Document accessibility exceptions in committee charters.

To facilitate member engagement, GFN Administration will publish your committee's preferred social media QR code upon request. Submit your code with accompanying text, and we will promptly feature it in the designated section to streamline member access to committee discussion groups.
