Ant Group's AGI showcase at World Internet Conference

At the 2025 World Internet Conference in Wuzhen, Ant Group unveiled its Bailing (百灵) model family — demonstrating a clear and accelerating path from AGI research to real-world applications across healthcare, robotics, and everyday life.
The AGI Vision: From Lab to Society
At the 2025 World Internet Conference in Wuzhen, Ant Group showcased its most comprehensive AGI progress to date. The company's theme, "Let the breakthroughs in intelligent limits benefit the daily lives of ordinary people", captured a defining philosophy: AGI is not an end in itself, but a means to make technology "feelable, touchable, and beneficial" .
The centrepiece was Ant's first public exhibition of the Bailing (百灵) large language model family. Already comprising 18 models spanning language, reasoning, and multimodal capabilities across billion, trillion, and multi-trillion parameter scales, the Bailing family is now fully open-source . With the recent releases of the trillion-parameter non-thinking model Ling-1T and thinking model Ring-1T, Bailing officially entered its 2.0 phase .
Ant's Chief Technology Officer He Zhengyu affirmed the company's commitment: "At Ant Group, we believe AGI should be a public good — a shared milestone for humanity's intelligent future" .
The Technical Breakthrough: Ring-1T and the IMO Silver
The technical highlight was Ring-1T, the world's first open-source trillion-parameter thinking model. Its performance on complex reasoning benchmarks was striking: Ring-1T achieved an IMO 2025 silver-medal level — a first for an open-source system — and reached near-GPT-5 performance in human preference alignment tests .
The model's reasoning capabilities were further validated by a 35/42 score on the International Mathematical Olympiad (silver medal standard) and 105/126 on the Chinese Mathematical Olympiad, surpassing China's national team cutoff . Ant also developed an internal "Popsicle" algorithm to address the stability challenges of large-scale thinking model training .
Beyond the demonstration, Ant Group's commitment was backed by record investment: 35 billion yuan (over 10% of revenue) in R&D during 2025, focusing on foundational LLMs, AI-powered services, and embodied intelligence .
AGI in Action: From Healthcare to Robotics
Ant showcased how AGI is already moving from research to society. AQ, an AI health assistant built on Ant's medical foundation model, was a highlight of the exhibition . Attendees could speak to AQ for medical inquiries and health report interpretation. By photographing a blood pressure monitor, users received an instant interpretation; the assistant could also directly connect to medical resources across more than 5,000 hospitals nationwide .
Ant Group also formed a partnership with West China Hospital during the conference to leverage AI and digital innovations to combat chronic diseases .
Ant Lingbo robots engaged with attendees, demonstrating conversational fluency. The company's first single-scenario service robot, Robbyant-R1, has already been deployed in scenarios from catering and exhibition guidance to medical Q&A .
Ant also unveiled "Ling Guang", a full-modal AI assistant that can generate functional applications from natural language prompts in just 30 seconds . Ling Guang, available on both iOS and Android, can output 3D models, charts, animations, and interactive maps — placing a "personal AI developer" in every user's pocket .
Building Trust: Privacy and Security
Ant also demonstrated its privacy-preserving technology, Ant Misuan, which received the WIC Distinguished Contribution Award for its trusted cryptographic computing innovations . At the 2026 WIC Asia-Pacific Summit in Hong Kong, Ant's Vice President Wei Tao emphasised that agents are transitioning from tools to autonomous intelligence with capabilities to explore, attempt, and correct. This productivity leap, he cautioned, brings the risk of three "losses of control": human loss of control over AI, AI's loss of control over itself, and data leakage. To address this, Ant is advancing a controllable, reliable, and iterative co-evolution framework .
